The Quakes are often credited as being the first American
Psychobilly band. I just recently got into them and they have
a lot of good stuff. The song that stood out the most is this
Salsa/Mambo-billy (as I like to call it) cover of Mexicaly Baby.
I had to learn it as soon as I heard it. Lots of flavors
in this one. I hear Rockabill/Salsa/Mambo and Punk as well.
Very simple song to learn. He just stays in that
minor pentatonic scale for the solo. Easy stuff. Strums
are not exact. Listen for the changes. Lets go!!!
