Lacquer Head Bass Tab

Okaaaay

This is NOT an easy song to play and you need a strong middle finger... I have watched
video from the "Animals should not act like people" dvd (it is also on the family values)
have FINALLY figured out how to play lacquer head. I have tried my best in tabbing it out.

Here goes

The Intro and the Verse are practically the same apart from the intro beeing muted.

Verse: This bit is slightly palm muted; place your hand lightly on the strings between
two pick ups (if you only have one then above that pick up. be careful not to mute too
or to place your had to close to the bridge)

Fill that goes into verse

g-0/6-------------------------------------

Chorus (no palm mutes)

In the live version Les changes the chorus a little, it sounds very cool though

Chorus (live)

a-3---6-------8---0h3---x-----------------|

Bass Solo part

Now this requiers a very fast thumb, took me ages to get to play this right. no palm mutes here either.

g-------2-^--------2^-----------------|
d---------^---------^-----------------|
a-0h3-3---^3-0h3-3--^-----------------|
e---------^---------^-----------------|

the bit in ^ repeat 5 times

Fill into verse again

g-------6\0----------------------------|
d--------------------------------------|

Then theres the solo. For the solo Les uses a lot of effects and he scratches up the
and hammers off a couple of random notes at the top of the g string (somewhere around fret 12-15)

Bridge

g-------------------------------------|
d-----6h8p7---------------------------|
a-------------------------------------|
e-0-0-------0-0-(1-1)-----------------|

The outro is just the latter part of the chorus repated alot of times

thanx
