The End Chords

D
We had a go
G
And worked it out
Bm A
Until the bitter end
D
And I suppose
G
I should've known
         Bm A
What was waiting 'round the bend

                   D
I didn't know that kindness was fleeting
                   Bm
I didn't know that soft could go hard
                        D
I bet you wonder at the words in your mouth
                         A
I bet you wonder at the sound

   D A Bm
We break the promise
       D A G
And we take it back
    D A Bm
We move in silence
        D A D
This is the end, the end, the end

D
We try, we fail, we crawl
G
We let the pieces fall
Bm
where they may
                A
And the picture fades

D
So go on and break my heart
G
It's always been caught off guard
        Bm A
In the end, there is nothing left to say

And the secrets you keep under your tongue

This is the end, the end, the end

    Bm
The plane falls,
                   A D
And it goes on and on in circles, spinning round
       Bm A

I can't take it with me,
      A D
can't take it with you

We break the promise
       D A G
And we take it back
    D A Bm
We move in silence
        D A D
This is the end, the end, the end

   D A Bm
We break the promise
       D A G
And we take it back
    D A Bm
We move in silence
        D A D
This is the end, the end, the end

(repeat &fade)

No matter what, I couldn't get quite happy with the bridge, but this sounds okay to play
with. Some chords didn't translate perfectly from the piano, so I made some slight adaptations.
