Closing Lick:
This is probably the most intricate part of the cover,
but it really brings it to the next level. I'll try to
describe what John's doing to the best of my ability.
He starts with his ring finger on the 14th fret of the
G string, but is also holding down the 12th fret on the
same string with his index finger (he does this because
later in the lick he uses his ring finger to pull-off).
Next, he slides from the 14th fret of the G string to
the 16th fret of the G string (his index finger is now
on the 14th fret). Then, he barres the 15th fret on the
B and high E strings with his middle finger and uses his
index finger (picking hand) to sweep downward across the
high E, B, and G strings. If it's difficult to get the
15th fret on the B string, you can just place your middle
finger on the 15th fret of the high E string, use your
index finger that's holding down the 14th fret of the G
string to mute the B string, and then perform the sweep.
This is what I find the easiest to do, but it still sounds
fantastic. Immediately upon hitting the G string, he pulls
-off his ring finger (16p14), then slides his index finger
(remember, we kept the index finger here for the whole first
half of the lick) down to the 12th fret of the G string (14\12).
He uses his ring finger to hit the 14th fret of the G string
again, adds some vibrato, and then pulls off to the 12th fret
of the G string (12-14~p12). He adds a little variation the
first time he does this (see the second part of Transitional
Riff #2 above), but then repeats the same lick 12 times afterward.
The 13th time, he plays the lick and then quickly runs down and
then back up the E minor pentatonic scale, but something more
simple would certainly suffice.

E Minor Pentatonic Lick:
This is how I end the song. Remember,
it's used IMMEDIATELY after the previous
lick, and it's REALLY fast. Consult the
video on YouTube for more clarity. I've
included the 13th repeat of the previous
lick below so the transition is more apparent.

If you want to fool around with the ending yourself,
here's the scale to use.
