Goldfinger Chords & Tabs

Version: 2 Type: Bass Tab

Bro Bass Tab

Song: Bro
Artist: Goldfinger
Album: Stomping Ground

This is off of Goldfinger's currently brand new album (which is probably old
by the time you're reading this); this is Track 7.

Kelly LeMieux, Goldfinger's new bassist (yeah, they kicked Simon Williams out),
prefers playing pickless it would seem; he plays with his fingers like every other cool
bassist out there, and this song seems to be no exception.

Bass comes in with the same riff as in the chorus; same notes as guitar for the
intro. It comes in after 2 playings of the guitar riff, then after 2 playings of
the bass riff goes to chorus (yep, the SAME thing!).

Intro/Chorus

G: ----------------------------------------------
D: ----------------------------------------------
A: --5-5--0-3-3-----0-0--------0-----------------
E: --------------------------1-3------3--1-------

Verses:

G: ----------------------------------------------
D: ----------------------------------------------
A: --2-2-----------------1--1--------2--2--------
E: --------1-1---1--1-----------2------------3---

First Pre-chorus:

G: ----------------------------------------------
D: ----------------------------------------------
A: --2-2-----------------------------------------
E: --------1-1---1--1--2--3----------------------

For their variation on second verse:
[ Tab from: https://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/g/goldfinger/bro_btab_ver_2.html ]
G: ----------------------------------------------
D: ----------------------------------------------
A: --2-2-----------------------------------------
E: --------1-1---1--1--1-2-3-4-5-6---------------

Second Pre-chorus:

G: ----------------------------------------------
D: ----------------------------------------------
A: --2-2-------------------------3--4--5---------
E: --------1-1---1--1--2--3----------------------

Ska part:
(I have put this in the easiest to play terms for me;
you may wish to play it differently [i.e. 1 on the D
string instead of 6 on the A, etc.] if you find it easier)

G: ---------------------------2----1-2--1--------
D: -----------2--4--2--1------------------------
A: --4----6--------------------------------------
E: ----------------------------------------------

G: ----------------------------------------------
D: -----------2--4--2--1------------------------
A: --4----6---------------------4--7-------3--6--
E: ---------------------------5---------4--------

Does decorations on last note of first part of riff;
does only root notes last 2 times through
Then plays first note once only; goes back to chorus
For the ending, the bass stays the same; the guitar has a
cool riff but bass remains, cuts out instead of ending riff.

Ending:

G: ----------------------------------------------
D: ----------------------------------------------
A: --5-5--0-3-3-----0-0--------------------------
E: --------------------------1-3-----------------

(Holds last note)
