So, there is a brief quarter-note in the instrumental bass line of the song within
the Am-shaped chord ONLY in the choruses and bridge. You probably know what I'm
referring to if you've listened to the song closely. You can incorporate that note
by releasing the lowest finger from the Am-shaped chord and placing it like this
for a brief moment:

e|---|---
B|---|---
G|---|-o-
D|---|-o-
A|---|-o- <--
E|---|---

Then immediately followed by C and D in the choruses. For the ending of the bridge
to lead into the chorus, it just pauses for D.O's voice then immediately starts
the chorus on Em.

You may simply play Am at those parts without that little switch. It is just
closer to the song as it mimics the bass line notes exactly. It is barely
noticeable in the song itself. The note doesn't exist within the verses (it stays
at just Am), so just play the normal Am-shape for the verses.

Remember that when I say Am I mean the shape relative to the capo (the chord your
playing is actually an A#m since the capo is on the first fret).
