This only sounds authentic on Acoustic to my ears
But feel free to try on electric or sitar

This is the "Desert Music" that Chong is playing in "Cheech and Chong in
Things are Tough All Over". I finally figured it out just messing around.
It should be fairly easy to play for anyone. Even if this is your first time
holding a guitar. You can play with thumb or pick but its personal
preference I think. It is in standard tuning but feel free to try in any
other tuning. I have personally not tried it but you can. I didn't try to
figure out the tuning. But if you got to youtube you can figure it out. Oh
and I didn't know how to label slides so after the second time you pick
slide up to the next IF this isn't the right way. Let the "A" string ring on
the second hit. Throw in a little bend or add a "trill" to it.

Then it starts over at the from the 9's and goes back down through the 7's
and 5's and 3's and back up. Its pretty simple. You can throw in an extra
note like the sevens in the second line. The 3's sound kinda off but, you
can just leave those out and go back up. It sounds even better if you
improvize with the above. Also if you play close to the bridge on acoustic
it sounds even better.

Cheers!!

If you want to post this anywhere else try to at least give me a little credit.
