"Love Song" covered by 311 With the exception of this song and "Amber", i don't care too much for 311. But they did an excellent job remaking this cult classic, and the only other tab on here for "Love Song" seemed incomplete. So here. It isn't 100% accurate, but between this tab and the song itself, you should be able to figure it out. winterheart Standard Tuning, no capo required The rhythm guitar usually strums the following progression: Am G F G Sometimes it alternates the last G chord for a Dsus or Em; it doesn't happen often enough to bear repeating again, however. In typical ska fashion, there's more bass notes in the rhythm than anything else, and the trebles are only played on upstrokes. The lead guitar i've tabbed out: [ Tab from: http://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/0-9/311/the_love_song_tab.html ] Opening chord (rake and let ring) e---7-- B---5-- G---5-- D---5-- A---0-- E------ riff 1 e--------0--0----0----0--0---- B--------1--3/5--3---/5--3\1-- G---2vv----------0------------ D----------------------------- A----------------------------- E----------------------------- riff 2 e---5h7h8-8-7-5-7-7-5----------------- B---------------------8-5vv----5---5-- G------------------------------------- D------------------------------------- A------------------------------------- E------------------------------------- The solo is a combination of riff 2 and some goofing off on e's 7th and B's 8th frets which is just subdued enough so that i couldn't tab it with accuracy. Riffs 1 & 2 show up at regular intervals, and are easy to pick up. Usually riff 2 ends with the lead sliding down to the 3rd, then the 1st fret on the B string. Other than that, there's not really anything else to the song. Enjoy. Sunday, 1:03 am
