Old man emu
John Williamson
This is a funny one, though the “Ba da da’s” and the “Doo dee ba’s” ect are hard to understand unless you know the song, so have a go at it.
(If you notice i have put 1’s, 2’s, 3’s and 4’s. This indicates where the verses are and where you go)

 	     C F C Dm7 G7

2.Well ha was a model for the fifty cents,

Oom ba-da little da da da,

The designer should have had more sense,

Oom ba da little da da da.

“if you take a look, It will prove to you. Ha ha ha ha
I ran the pants off that kangaroo.”

  Chorus

Now that's the chords, now for the rest of the lyrics:

Verse 3:
You cant loop the loop like a cockatoo
Oom ba da little da da da
Swoop and toot like an albatross
Oom ba da little da da da
“You silly galah im better by far
then a white cockatoo or a budgerigar.
They squeak and squawk and try to talk,
me and them are like cheese and chalk.”

Verse 4:
Well that's last time i saw old man emu
Oom ba da little da da da
He was chasing a female he knew.
Oom ba da little da da da.
As he shot passed i heard him say:
“She cant fly but I’m telling you,
She can run the pants off a kangaroo”

Verse 5:
Well there is no moral to this ditty
Oom ba da little da da da
Thrush can sing but he ain't pretty
Oom ba da little da da da
Duck can swim, but he can;t sing
Nor can the emu on the wing,
Emu can’t fly, but I’m telling you:
He can run the pants off a kangaroo!
