THE THANKSGIVING SONG
By Adam Sandler
As played on the CD "They're All Gonna Laugh At You"

Transcribed by Ray Tom (rtom24@yahoo.com)

This is a very simple chord progression.
Except for the bridge, the notes are picked with thumb and fingers.
Use your index finger to bar the chords as you shift positions.
You can even add a percussive slap on the strings with your picking hand
between chord shifts to get that jazzy beat feel. Listen to the CD
recording for lyrics and timing. Feel free to send me any feedback.
You should be able to figure it out no problem. It's as easy as pumpkin pie!
Have fun and have a Happy Thanksgiving! :) - Ray

hey guys,

Thanks for the comments. I DID create a full transcribed version of this song with the complete lyrics but it
got rejected several times for some reason so I had to strip it down. (Rule #4 perhaps?) But I don't
understand why either, because there are plenty of other tabs on here with lyrics... go figure.

And the tabs got jumbled a bit even though it was correct when I submitted it. It should be...

I think there's a mistake on the first type of cord on the bridge the note on the 2nd string should be the
4th fret and the 5th fret on the 3rd string.

I agree with Kinkscarecool. Now I have to right them down seperatly. Writing the words just makes it easier.

Don't have to, but it would be helpful if you could add the lyrics for those of us who don't have the CD.

Thanks,
David G.
