You Know Youre Right Tab

The intro is a little tricky. In order to play it correctly, you need
to have a guitar with a tailpiece bridge such as a Fender Mustang or
a Fender Jaguar. And for goodness sake, tune a half step down
(Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,Eb).

Intro:

Repeat once
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
-----x----x------x------x-------------------
---x-----x------x------x--------------------
-x*-----x*-----x*-----x*--------------------
The trick is to hammer 0 and 2 on the low E string WHILE plucking
these strings between the bridge and the tailpiece. The asterik shows
when this is necessary.

First Verse:

--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--------4---4-------------------------------
-----4----4---4-4----4---4--4---4----4---4--
-0h2---------------0---2------2---2----2----
(clean, palm-muted)

"Never speak a word again" has these two chords:
------------------------------------
-7--------------9-------------------
-7--------------9-------------------
-7--------------9-------------------
-5--------------7-------------------
------------------------------------
(distorted)

Second verse:

-------------------------
-------------------------
-------4-----------------
-----4---------4-4------- (then mostly 4 on D-string)
---4---------4-----------
-2---------2-------------
(clean)

"Things have never"
-------------------------------------
----7------7-------9------9----------
------7------7-------9------9--------
--------7--------------9-------------
-5---------------7-------------------
-------------------------------------
(clean)

Chorus (distorted):

-------------------------
-------------------------
-------------------------
-4-4-4-4---4-4--4-4-4---- (4x)
-4-4-4-4---4-4--4-4-4----
-0h2-2-2---0h2--2-2-2----
[ Tab from: https://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/n/nirvana/you_know_youre_right_tab.html ]
(repeat the chords a few times)
------------------------------------
-7--------------9-------------------
-7--------------9-------------------
-7--------------9-------------------
-5--------------7-------------------
------------------------------------

Third verse: finish off distorted part in chorus with

------------------14--^(16)--^(14)--
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
-0-2-2-2----------------------------

No guitar in the first part, then
palm-muted/arpeggiated F#5 power chord on the
lower three strings

Chorus (repeated)

The solo (starting at around 2:26) goes something
like this (not quite exactly as I'm just going
to post the notes, but you can use your ears to
get the rhythm and how many times each note is
played, etc. :)

------------------------------------
-------------4^(5)-----7^(9)--------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
-0-2---2--2-------------------------

Then back to messing around with 0-2 on the
low-E string and/or the E5 and F#5 chords.

Throw in these riffs (the first one most of the
time, and the second one just once I
think):

------------------------------------
--------------5^(7)-----------------
-4-3-4-3----------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------

--------------4^(6)-----------------
------------------------------------
-4-3-4-3----------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------
------------------------------------

The main part ends with that first riff and
the last note feedbacking and maybe bent a little (not a continuous bend).

In the end part with mostly just the drums,
there are some muted notes done. I'm not sure
exactly how, but I'd suspect it's one
of these two ways:

1)

-------16-------16-
----16------16-----
-16----------------
-------------------
-------------------
-------------------

with palm-muting, or

2) the same pattern but fretting the 4th
fret, and pinch harmonics done by picking on the 16th fret.
