Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes

Yet another soon-to-be classic. I don't think all the voicings are 100%
dead-on, but the actual chords are right, I'm pretty sure. Even so,
email me with questions, comments or corrections: turvyc@uvic.ca

But baby, you hardly even notice
When I try to show you this
Song it’s meant to keep you
From doing what you’re supposed to
Like waking up too early
Maybe we could sleep in
I’ll make you banana pancakes

Pretend like it’s the weekend now
And we could pretend it all the time
Can’t you see that it’s just raining
There ain’t no need to go outside

Ain’t no need, ain’t no need
Rain all day and I really really really don’t mind
Can’t you see, can’t you see
We’ve got to wake up slow

Yeah, Vranx, abot that...I have the CD. It cam with a lyric book. The words are "I love to lay here lazy."
That's all I have to say about that...

great work, thank you very much.

I've just a few observations/corrections to make.

Instead of "Because I love to lay here lazy" he sings " I love to lay you lazy" which gives it a whole
different meaning ;-)

The changing from D to Am is a little bit too early, it should be after "we don't need to".

I think at the ending it should be an Am7 chord instead of an A7, or am I mistaken?

I use following chords

Am - x 7 7 5 5 5
G7 - 3 5 3 4 3 3
D7 - x 5 4 5 3 x
D9 - x 5 4 5 5 0
C9 - x 3 2 3 3 0
Bm - 2 2 4 4 3 2
Em - 7 7 9 9 8 7
D - 5 5 7 7 7 5
C - 3 3 5 5 5 3
Am7 -5 7 5 5 5 5

Re: FadeToBlack2404

he is a guitarist, used to be a professional surfer. his music is mellow and nice to listen to when you want
to relax. most of his songs are easy to play.
