Title: ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER (Bob Dylan)

Am G F G Am (play it forever)
There must be some kind of way out of here

Said the joker to the thief

		There's too much confusion

		I can't get no relief

Buisness men they drink my wine

		Plowmen dig my earth

		None would ever compromise

		Nobody of this world

		No reason to get excited

		The thief he kindly spoke

There are many here among us

Who feel that life is but a joke

But you and I we've been through that

And this is not our place

So let us stop talking falsely now

		The hour's getting late

		All along the watchtower

		Princess kept the view

While all the women came and went

		Barefoot servants too

		Outside in the cold distance

		A wildcat did growl

		Two riders were approaching

And the wind began to howl

		All along the watchtower

		All along the watchtower

		All along the watchtower

I've seen lots of rhythm tabs on here and have not seen what is correct.
(to the furthest of my knowledge)
I dont know about lead, that could be right, but rhythm is four chords
over and over:

                        G A G F

I could get the lead tab from my friend maybe, if anyone wants it..

Here are some lyrics that might help you out..:

There must be some kind of way out of here
Said the joker to the thief
There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief
Business men they drink my wine
Plowmen they dig my earth
Noone would ever compromise
Nobody of this world

No reason to get excited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are many among us
Who feel that life is but a joke
but you and I we've been through that
And this is not our place
So let us stop talking falsely now
The hour's getting late

All along the watchtower
Princess kept the view
While all the women came and went
Barefoot servants too
Outside in the cold distance
A wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching
And the wind began to howl

All along the watchtower
All along the watchtower
All along the watchtower

"All Along the Watchtower"-as played by Dave Matthews Band

Tab by Dylan Greenwood

This song was written by Bob Dylan, but has done by DMB on their very first
album which can only get at live shows or through mail. They also do it a
lot in concert. It's a great song! Enjoy!!!

It starts out with just Dave playing his acoustic. And goes something like
this:
RIFF 1:
I--------------------------------------------------------------------------I
I*------------------------------------------------------------------------*I
I--------------------------------------------------------------------------I
I-----------------------------------------------3---3---5---5---7----------I
I*----------------------------------------------3---3---5---5---7---------*I
I-----5---5---0--3-3-3-0--3-3--1--1--0--1---1---1---3---3---3---5----------I
Play this part for the intro and suring the first and third verses
=============================================================================
After the first verse is over the band comes in and they pick up the pace a
little and Dave plays the normal chords(Am G F G.)
=============================================================================
here's a summary of the song:

RIFF 1

"There must be some way outta here"
Said the joker to the theft
There's too much confusion
I can't get no release
But businessmen, they drink my wine
Come and dig my earth
None of them along the line
Know what any of it is worth

Am G F G
No reason to get excited
The theftly kindly spoke
There are many here among us
Who feel that live is but a joke
But you and I, we've been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now
The hour's getting late

RIFF 1

All along the watchtower
Princes kept the view
While all the women came and went
Bare-foot servants too
But outside in the distance
A wildcat did growl
Two writers were approaching
The wind begins to howl

RIFF 1

This should be exactly what he plays, I'll try to tab out some stuff from
the their new CD.
Any questions or comments E-Mail me!

Peace!
