Please Comment and Rate so I can improve or make corrections to my tabs. Thank You!

**Note** This is not the original version, rather it is the edited version recorded for
Cartoon, "Hercules;" however, I added the original bridge into the version. Other tabs
lyric sites have the original verses and choruses that can add need be (just use the
chord progressions for verse/chorus). (The bridge is not in movie).
**edit: v1.1: Fixed chords placement above words; Edited some chords I noticed were
to make this more Theater oriented for Music Majors/Musical Theater Majors like myself**
**edit2: v1.2: I'm an idiot. Added the intro chords that I forgot to put at the of the
well as some pointers for the intro at the end of the tab**
**edit3: v1.3: fixed a couple of chords, spell check; should be final edit**

Introduction: (**See Introduction Note at bottom of tab, for clarity and detail**)

D - E - A
D - E - A
F# - E - A

Verse:
       D E A D E A
I have often dreamed, of a far off place
         D C# F#m D E
Where a Great warm welcome will be waiting for me.
          D E A D
 A
Where the crowds will cheer, when they see my face
         D C# F#m D E
And a voice keeps saying this is where I’m meant to be;

First Chorus:
        A E F#m E
I will find my way, I can go the distance
        A E F#m E
I'll be there someday, if I can be strong
        A Bm F#m Bm7
I know ev’ry mile, will be worth my while
        D E A A/G# Dmaj7 A
I would go most anywhere to feel like I belong

**See Monologue Note 1**

2nd Chorus:
     A E F#m E
I am on my way, I will go the distance
        A E F#m E
I don't care how far, somehow I'll be strong
        A Bm F#m Bm7
And a thousand years, would be worth the wait
         D E A A/G# Dmaj7
  A
It might take a lifetime, but somehow I’ll see it through.

**See "Monologue Note 2" at the bottom of Tab**

Bridge:
        C G
But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part
        Am F G
For a hero’s strength is measured by his heart

Last Chorus:
        C Dm C G
I will beat the odds, I will go the distance
       C Dm C G
I will face the world, fearless, proud, and strong
       C F Am7 Dm
I will please the gods, I can go the distance
       F G C F G C
Til I find my hero's welcome right where I belong.

(Optional Tag Chord progression **For Theater purposes, the time used during this could
for movement or dramatization leading into a slower more dramatic ending):
F - G - C (x2)
F - E - Am
Dm - Gsus - G

Tag: (Slower)
         C F Am7 Dm
I will search the world, I will face it’s harms
         F G C F G
 C
Til I find my hero’s welcome, waiting in your arms

Introduction Note:
When playing: D - E - A (twice) the A chord is sustained for 2 additional measures or
moving onto the F#; also, when playing:
F# - E, these two chords are sustained for one measure each upon strumming the note. A
that leads into the verse is held for 2 measures and singing begins on the beat of 2nd
("I have..." in which these two words will be the pick up notes).

During the introduction, you may choose to play this if you have two guitars or way you
do so (played as 16th notes, so 4 notes to a beat):

e|--0-----------0-----------0------------0------------|
B|-----------0-----------0-----------0------------0---| (x7)
G|--------2-----------2-----------2------------2------|
D|-----2-----------2-----------2------------2---------|

After the F# - E chord, right when you hit the A chord: you can play (8th notes; 2 notes
beat):

e|---5-----0-----5-----0-----|
B|---------------------------| (x2) then singing begins on last beat
G|------2-----2-----2-----2--|

Helpful Musical Theater Notes:

Monologue Note 1:
At this point, you may repeatedly play the Chord Progression used in the Verse as manyas
but quietly so that whoever is speaking isn't overpowered by the music) which may say a
during this time, for those who may be musical theater like myself.
you are ready to move on to the next chorus, you can play last progression ( D - C# - F#
D - E ) with more emphasis to signify moving on and for more dramatic effect...and move
into the next chorus)

Monologue Note 2:
As stated in the 1st monologue note, you can repeat the chord progression as needed,
onto the last chorus, it will be different because of a key change. If you are not say a
here, it is best to go straight into the chorus (which consists of the and then straight
the Last Chorus. If you intend to say a monologue it is best to leave out the Bridge
go straight into the Last Chorus, which consists of a Change from A Major up to C Major.
When you are ALMOST done speaking are ready to move onto the Last Chorus, use this
to modulate to the Last D - C# - F# - A - Esus - E (strumming the 2nd E with a little
intensity to signify Key Change) and then follow with:

F - G - C (x2)
F - E - Am
Fmaj7 - Gsus - G
F/A - G/B - C/F -G7
