Theres an instrumental pause while the vocalist sing: I am not skilled to understand.
The guitar comes back on understand with almost exclusively chords at this point.
It hits one note in the middle on the four string like this:
     D v ^ v
e-----3----------------3----------------------------|
b-----2----------------2----------------------------|
g-----3----------------3----------------------------|
d----------------0----------------------------------|
a---------------------------------------------------|
E---------------------------------------------------|

It repeats that about 4X and goes to the next chord (Bm), which does the same thing,
in this case hitting the 5th (A) string with whatever fret is held down for that chord (4th fret)
Repeats and does the same thing for the next chord (A), 5th string, open fret.
And cycle those chords for the verse.
At the second part of the verse (pre-bridge) when he starts getting louder he switches to this
  D v ^ v D v v ^ v ^ v
e-3------------------3-------------------3----------------------------|
b-2------------------2-------------------2----------------------------|
g-3------------------3-------------------3----------------------------|
d-------------0--------------------0----------------------------------|
a---------------------------------------------------------------------|
E---------------------------------------------------------------------|

D Bm A

The bridge and the chorus loose complexity due to more instruments coming in,
and just goes mostly to downstrokes of the chords I believe, though it’s hard to hear

Bridge: Bm A D A
The strum pattern I use for the chorus is: v v^v (switch)
Chorus: Bm G D A

Hope this helps!
