4. The Universal

Intro:
A, C#m7 (4x)

A C#m7
This is the next century
A C#m7
Where the universal's free
e Bm

You can find it anywhere
e Bm
Yes the future's been sold
A C#m7
Every night we're gone
A C#m7
And to karaoke songs
e Bm
We like to sing along
e Bm
Though the words are wrong

(chorus)

   Asus4 A Asus4 A Asus4 A Asus4 D e
It really, really, really could happen
       Asus4 A Asus4 A Asus4 A Asus4 D e
Yes it really, really, really could happen
         C#m
When the days they seem to fall through you
     D C#m Bm e

Well just let them go
No one here is alone
Satellites in every home
Yes the universal's here
Here for everyone

Every paper that you read
Says tomorrow's your lucky day
Well, here's your lucky day

5. Coffee & TV

This intro is almost as the one on 13:

e/---------------------------|
B/---------------------------|
G/-----5-----7-10-12-9—10-7--|
D/---5---7-8-----------------|
A/-5-------------------------|
E/---------------------------|

In the song there are a few guitar fills:

GUITAR FILL 1:
e/-----------------|
B/-----------------|
G/-11-11-9-9-9-----|
D/-9—-9—-7-7-7-----|
A/-----------------|
E/-----------------|

G-4-4-4-6-11-9-----|

GUITAR FILL 3:

GUITAR FILL 4:

D/-11-11—-9—-9—--14-14--14-14--|
A/-----------------------------|
E/-----------------------------|

Graham play some strange chords during the verses. I saw the chords
from a live gig that I recorded. But I'll write 13 after them.
Here are the chords Graham plays in the song:

B13: (76x8xx)
Am13:(54x5xx) At least it’s what Graham plays, maybe.
e: (022100) (Graham doesn’t play this at all. He plays GUITAR FILL 3.)
G13: (32x4xx)
F?: (133200) Play with a low thumb.
A#13:(65x8xx)
C#: (x46664)
A: (577655) Play with a low thumb.
C#m: (x46654)

Graham often plays the bar chords with a low thumb. He doesn't play this
order all the way during the song. When you play the first two "13"
chords then bend the G string a little .But I think he uses some sort of
pedal that makes that "bending" sound.
I’m not sure if Damon plays an Am or an A.

Verse 1:
B
Do you feel like a chain store?
Am e(GUITAR FILL 1)
Practically floored
G F
One of many zeros
A# C#
Kicked around bored
B
Your ears are full, but you're empty
Am e(GUITAR FILL 1)
Holding out your heart
G F
To people who never really
A# A
Care how you are (GUITAR FILL 2)

Chorus:

B(B13)A(GUITAR FILL 3)

E(Here is where GUITAR FILL 4 enters)

     C#m

     B(B13) A(GUITAR FILL 3)

C#m e(Here is where GUITAR FILL 4 enters)

    A D
And agree to marry me
                A
So we can start over again

Verse 2:
B
Do you go to the country?
   Am e(GUITAR FILL 1)
It isn't very far
G F

A# C#
'Cos of who you are

B

        Am e(GUITAR FILL 1)
There's wisdom there you're sure
G F

A# A

10. Girls & Boys

(One chord sequence throughout= Gm C F Eb F#/F)

Streets like a jungle
So call the police
Following the herd
Down to Greece
on holiday

Love in the 90's
Is paranoid
On sunny beaches
Take your chances, looking for

GIRLS WHO ARE BOYS
WHO LOVE BOYS LIKE THEY'RE GIRLS
WHO DO GIRLS LIKE THEY'RE BOYS
ALWAYS SHOULD BE SOMEONE YOU REALLY LOVE

Avoiding all work
Cos there's none available
Like battery thinkers
Count their thoughts on 1 2 3 4 5 fingers

Nothing is wasted
Only reproduced
You get nasty blisters
Du bist sehr schon
But we haven't been introduced
